Rise Bake Shoppe, 740 E. Main St., Mount Joy, will hold its fifth annual customer appreciation event on Saturday, May 28, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to giveaways, prizes and promotions, this year's event will coincide with the launching of a new company brand name: Rise Bake Shoppe.
After much consideration, the company decided to change its name as a way to better explain its purpose and what it values. Rise is a bakery term that also reflects the upward progress the company desires for its team, business, customers and community. The transition away from the Bake Shoppe at Country Table also coincides with the closing of Country Table Restaurant.
Giveaways at the customer appreciation event will include free coffee, free balloons and free samples all day, while supplies last. In addition, there will be an opportunity to win limited-edition, branded merchandise. One customer will be selected to have a cupcake flavor named after him or her.
