Dance Company Sets Summer Classes

Laurel Dance Company (LDC) will hold a two-week and four-week summer session of classes beginning the week of Monday, June 10, through the week of Monday, July 1, at the studio at 514 E. Main St., Ephrata. LDC will also offer a four-week session from Friday, July 5, through Friday, Aug. 2.

On Tuesdays, June 11 and 18, Advance Ballet and Pointe, Beginning Ballet and Contemporary will be offered. To participate in the Contemporary classes, ballet and modern dance experience is required.

On Thursdays, June 13 and 20, Intermediate Ballet Technique, Pre-Pointe and Strength and Conditioning will be offered.

On Mondays, June 10 through July 1, LDC will hold Tiny Tap for children ages 3 to 5, Creative Movement for children ages 2 to 3, Elementary Hip-Hop, Elementary Ballet, and Vocal Technique.

On Wednesdays, June 12 to July 3, classes will be Elementary, Intermediate/Advanced and Adult Tap and a dance conditioning class.

On Fridays, July 5, 12 and 19 and Aug. 2, LDC will offer "The Nutcracker" artistic director Kristina Grant's Ballet Program/"Nutcracker" Prep. Beginning/Pre-Pointe Ballet Technique will be followed by Pre-Pointe Conditioning Intermediate/Advanced Ballet Technique and Intermediate/Advanced Pointe. Auditions for "The Nutcracker" will be scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 24.

LDC will also plan a session of ballet classes on Wednesdays in August, with times to be announced. Class times and days are subject to change based on class size and registration.
