Edward LeFevre (second from right) from the Lancaster County Chapter, PSSOR; and Nancy LeFevre, secretary of the Donegal Chapter of Pennsylvania DAR, were present on Oct. 19 at the rededication of the DAR obelisk monument. The obelisk was placed in 1899 to honor the French and Indian War and Revolutionary War patriots from western Lancaster County at the Donegal Presbyterian Church where the Witness Tree event occurred on Sept. 7, 1777. The monument has been cleaned by the Sons and Color Guard as a special project. Harvard Wood prepared the dedication plaque, and Michael Douchorty performed the cleaning. Edwin and Mrs. Miller, LCCPSSOR, provided a renewed landscaping.
