The American Heart Association has named Daniel P. Day as chair of the 2020 Capital Region Heart Ball.
Day has served as Highmark Blue Shield's chief market officer and senior vice president of the central region since 2018. He has more than 25 years of experience in the health care industry, including positions with Aetna and most recently at Murray Securus Insurance, where he was vice president of health benefits.
Day is a graduate of Ursinus College with a degree in economics and business administration. He also has his Certified Employee Benefits Specialist certification from the Wharton School of Business and IFEBP.
The annual Capital Region Heart Ball will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, at the Hershey Lodge. The gala to raise funds for the American Heart Association will include dinner, dancing, silent and live auctions and other activities.
