Abraham C. Treichler Lodge 682 Free and Accepted Masons sponsored its eighth annual Honor Roll Challenge Night on June 23 as a reward to members of Elizabethtown DeMolay who finished the 2018-19 school year with a 3.0 or greater grade point average. Six members of Elizabethtown DeMolay were treated to a night of food and fun at Ichiban Japanese Steak and Seafood Restaurant in Lancaster.
The scholars represented five different school districts in southcentral Pennsylvania: Gabriel Anderson, who will be in eighth grade at Elizabethtown Area Middle School; Jacob Beers, a 2017 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School and junior at West Chester University; Mason Barrick, who will be in eighth grade at Lower Dauphin Middle School; Jonathan Curran, who will be a sophomore at Lampeter-Strasburg High School; Martin Stoner, who will be a sophomore at Solanco High School; and Connor Vogelsong, who will be a junior at Elizabethtown Area High School.
One of the principal teachings of the Order of DeMolay is appreciation, respect and support for the public schools and the importance of education in the life of young men.
