Alyssa Diffenderfer of Columbia is one of three Lebanon Valley College (LVC) track and field student-athletes recognized as all-academic honorees by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Diffenderfer, a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School, has been pursuing a Bachelor of Science in exercise science at LVC. Diffenderfer, a sprinter, earned gold at the MAC Championships in the 100-meter dash with a personal record of 12.50 seconds, the third-fastest time in LVC history. She also captured a silver medal in the 200-meter dash with another career-best time of 25.87 seconds, the fifth-fastest time in school history. In the winter, Diffenderfer earned All-Region honors in indoor track.
A total of 462 men and 631 women earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Individual honors. In order to qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 while also meeting either of the following athletics standards: competed in NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship or finished the regular season ranked in the top 35 in the nation in an individual event or ranked top 25 in the country in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list.
