Alyssa Diffenderfer of Columbia, a member of the women's indoor track and field team at Lebanon Valley College, Annville, was recently named United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) Mideast All Region.
Diffenderfer earned All-Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) First Team honors as won the gold in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.98. She followed it up by adding All-MAC Second Team honors with a silver medal in the 200-meter dash with a personal record of 26.46, the third-best all-time in Dutchmen history and an All-Atlantic qualifying mark.
In the 60-meter dash final at the All-Atlantic Regional meet in March, Diffenderfer finished in third with a time of 7.88 to improve upon her own school record, which she accomplished on day one of regionals.
Diffenderfer is a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in exercise science.
