Several Elizabethtown Area School District students were recently recognized as Do the Right Thing honorees.
Marley Leggett, a first-grade student, was recognized for assisting her fellow students and a substitute teacher in navigating classroom technology. Another first-grader, Shelby Rios, ensured that a fellow student got onto the correct bus. Katie Moore, a second-grade student, was recognized for donating her hair to Maggie's Wigs 4 Kids. Grayson Marz, a seventh-grader, was honored for arranging a virtual student showcase intended to create a sense of community and togetherness for the student participants.
The students' good deeds were acknowledged at ceremonies held recently at their respective schools, where each honoree received a certificate of recognition, a Do the Right Thing T-shirt, and a gift certificate.
