The Exploring, Growing Together forum learning series will continue with a discussion of the Jonathan Cahn DVD "The Mystery of the Shemitah" and the book "Know the Time, Change Your World" by Barry L. Miller. Greg Pierce will lead. The group meets from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursdays on the lower level of Lititz United Methodist Church, 201 Market St., Lititz. Due to the pandemic, Zoom sessions will be available for all meetings.
The DVD will be shown on Thursday, April 1, and the session will include discussion. If necessary, discussion of the book will continue on subsequent weeks, including pages 1 to 48 on April 8, pages 51 to 120 on April 15, and pages 123 to 174 on April 22.
"The Mystery of the Shemitah" discusses the Shemitah (shmee-TA), or Sabbath year, the last year of the seven-year agricultural cycle mandated by the Torah for the land of Israel.
In "Know the Time, Change Your World," Miller uses information from the book of Genesis to explore why the seven-day week is important to wise financial investment and planning.
Attendees may bring a bag lunch and a beverage. No food or beverages may be shared due to the pandemic, and no beverages are available in the lobby or water fountains in the building at this time. Restrooms across from the meeting room will be available to use.
Only eight people may physically enter the building to participate, so registration is required.
