Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue (DVGRR) has again earned the top, 4-star rating from Charity Navigator. Charity Navigator, an independent charity evaluator, issues this rating to the most responsible organizations.
In 2011, Charity Navigator added 17 metrics focused on governance and ethical practices as well as measures of openness to its methodology. These accountability and transparency metrics account for 50% of the overall rating. A nonprofit's fiscal health is also considered in the evaluation. A 4-star Charity Navigator rating demonstrates an organization's good governance and financial accountability.
