The Grey Muzzle Organization recently awarded one of its annual grants to Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue's (DVGRR) Golden Gateway campus. DVGRR was one of 64 animal welfare groups selected from 288 applicants to receive a grant to help senior dogs.
According to John Plummer, DVGRR executive director, the funding will help dogs like Palpatine, a 9-year-old dog that arrived from another shelter.
The Grey Muzzle Organization, a national nonprofit, has awarded more than $510,000 in grants to help save or improve the lives of at-risk older dogs in shelters. Over the past 12 years, the Grey Muzzle Organization has provided $2.5 million in grants.
