EAHS Recognizes Student-Athletes

On May 18, Elizabethtown Area High School (EAHS) held the second of two annual Collegiate Athlete Recognition Days to honor athletes who plan to continue their sports careers at the collegiate level. Joining the athletes at the event in the high school auditorium were their families, teammates, coaches, faculty members, and administrators.

As part of the program, Elizabethtown Area School District director of athletics William Templin saluted the six honorees for their success in athletics and in other areas. In addition, Templin read off the accolades earned by each student-athlete and wished them all success at the next level.

The honorees were as follows: Brock Belmont, football at Grove City College; Patrick Gilhool, basketball at York College; Max McCloud, cross-country at Sewanee: University of the South; Kayla Myers, ice hockey at Hilbert College; Jake Rudy, wrestling at University of Scranton; and Alaina Telenko, field hockey at SUNY Cortland.
