Elizabethtown Community Housing and Outreach Services (ECHOS) has been presented with an opportunity to apply for the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP). The NAP is a tax investment program that offers the opportunity for community agencies like ECHOS to partner with businesses to assist in improving communities in need. Businesses that make contributions to community organizations will receive up to a 55% tax credit on the amount of the investment.
ECHOS is a not-for-profit social services agency serving individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness, are at risk of homelessness, or are in need of services. Its mission is to mobilize communities to provide services that prevent and alleviate poverty and empower stability in members of the community. Its vision is to create a stable, thriving community.
Through the NAP, ECHOS is seeking to raise funds to help cover the cost of the expansion of the newly established social services complex in Elizabethtown. The goal is to raise $100,000 in commitments.
Commitments from businesses and individuals need to be delivered to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development by Monday, Sept. 30. However, there are a limited number of investments available.
Those interested in making a commitment may contact Seema Tailor at vista@echoslancaster.org to receive the documents by email or call 717-689-3423, ext. 206, with questions.
