Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, has posted its programs. Participants should meet at the Environmental Center. Programs are free unless stated otherwise, but preregistration is required by emailing governordick@hotmail.com or calling 717-964-3808 and leaving a name and phone number in case the program is canceled.
Summer Story Forest will take place on Friday, July 26, at 10:30 a.m. The family program features a storybook and a hike related to the book.
Summer Nocturne has been set for Saturday, July 27, at 6:30 p.m. The evening will include a campfire, refreshments, games, and a storyteller at the tower. Separate costs have been set per person and per family.
On Sunday, July 28, at 1:30 p.m. the Golden Eagle Hikers will offer a hike of 2 to 3 miles at a relaxed pace for folks over age 50. Trails are hilly and rocky.
