Equestrian Camps Slated

Take Heart Counseling and Equine Assisted Therapy, 4675 New Holland Road, Mohnton, offers individual, family, and group counseling services designed to help people with a wide variety of emotional, family, or mental health issues. The peaceful outdoor setting, compassionate counselors, and gentle animals on the farm aim to offer healing and freedom to people from all walks of life.

Two camps for youths will be offered in conjunction with Lititz recCenter.

Ranchers and Wranglers - Horsemanship Camp, will run on Monday, June 17, through Thursday, June 20, from 9 a.m. to noon. The camp is open to children ages 8 to 12. The group lesson includes learning natural horsemanship on the ground and in the saddle, practicing techniques based on trust, respect, and understanding.

Teens Unbridled: Equine Assisted Therapy, will run from Monday, July 22, through Thursday, July 25, from 9 to 11 a.m. The program is open to youths ages 12 to 17 struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicide, trauma, loneliness, relationships, or bullying. Sessions include interactive activities with the horses and honest discussion. No horse experience is necessary.
