An inaugural Old-Fashioned Christmas Stop and Shop will take place at the home of Henry and Susan Stoltzfus, 756 Temperance Hill Road, Lititz. The Stoltzfuses are a vendor at the Lititz Farmers Market.
The community is invited to shop from 1 to 5 p.m. on Fridays, Nov. 26 and Dec. 3 and 10, as well as from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, and Saturdays, Nov. 27 and Dec. 4, 11, and 18. The shop will be set up in the garage.
The Stop and Shop will feature Christmas cookies, jams and jellies, pickled vegetables, raw honey, Christmas craft items, garage sale items, tea bouquets, gift baskets, and handmade goods such as winter scarves, tea towels, coloring books, and bath salts. Copies of a new cookbook featuring simple recipes will also be available for purchase. Shoppers will also be able to visit with a litter of kittens that are looking for homes.
Shoppers are asked to bring nonperishable food items and monetary donations for the Warwick Community Chest. Donors' names will be entered into a drawing for a free gift basket.
