"Exodus" VBS Planned

Cornerstone Bible Church, 529 Lauschtown Road, Bowmansville, located just off Route 897, will host a vacation Bible school (VBS) from 9 to 11:45 a.m. from Monday, June 20, through Friday, June 24. Boys and girls age 4 through those entering seventh grade are invited. Families are welcome to attend the closing program on June 24 at 7 p.m.

The theme of this year's Bible-centered music program is "Exodus - Journey to Freedom." Children will learn lessons from the Israelites as God delivered them from Egypt under Moses. Each day will feature singing, a mission emphasis, a skit, crafts, recreation, snacks, and a Bible lesson. The drama will feature costumes.

Representatives of Cornerstone wrote the material for the VBS with the goal of presenting the Bible to boys and girls in a relevant way. The daily themes are as follows: "Slaves to Sin" on June 20; "One Way Out" on Tuesday, June 21; "Now We Belong to God" on Wednesday, June 22; "Love the Lord, Your God" on Thursday, June 23; and "Heaven, a Promise" on June 24. The children will be led by pastor Jahn David Horgen, and Jody Wenger and Tim Haas will lead the staff.

There is no cost to attend, but preregistration is encouraged. For more information about the church or to preregister for the VBS, call the church at 717-405-7293.
