Explore Chester County This Summer

For its upcoming 28th season, the 2022 Town Tours & Village Walks program will return to in-person events, with the theme of "Founding Mothers and Fathers." The tours will offer an opportunity for residents and visitors to learn about those who played a significant role in Chester County's history.

Town Tours & Village Walks is a series of summer strolls through local neighborhoods, villages and historic sites that will take place on select Thursdays through Aug. 18. The tours, which are free to attend, will begin at 5:30 p.m. and last approximately 50 minutes.

On July 7, a tour of Willistown Township will be featured. The theme of the program will be "Willistown Township: Acres of Quakers, Native Americans and Conservationists." Parking and check-in will be at Radnor Hunt, 826 Providence Road, Malvern.

The event will include 30-minute bus tours, which will be scheduled from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Register at http://www.eventbrite.com by searching for "Willistown Township Historical Bus Tour" and use the password WillistownBusTour2022. On July 21, the National Iron and Steel Heritage Museum will be the tour stop. Attendees will learn about Rebecca Lukens, the "Founding Mother of Iron and Steel in Coatesville."
