EYRA Posts Sports Opportunities

Eastern York Recreation Authority (EYRA), formerly Hellam Recreation, has announced mail-in registration for its spring softball and baseball programs is in progress. Online registration is currently unavailable as the newly formed organization is working to establish a website. Youth softball programs are available for children and youths ages 5 to 18, with age determined as of Jan. 1. Player evaluations will be held in March to assess team placements. Separate fees have been set for residents of Hallam Borough and Hellam and Lower Windsor townships and for nonresidents. Within these fee categories, separate fees have been set for 7U (Micro) and for 10U to 18U. The deadline to sign up is Friday, March 1.

Youth baseball programs are available for children ages 5 to 16, with age determined as of Wednesday, May 1. Separate fees have been set for residents of Hallam Borough and Hellam and Lower Windsor townships and for nonresidents. Within these fee categories, separate fees have been set for ages 5 to 6 (T-ball) and for 8U to 16U. The registration deadline is Friday, March 15.

Families with multiple children participating in either program will receive a discount.

EYRA was created to jointly operate educational, recreational, and sports programs and facilities to meet the present and future parks and recreational needs of Hellam Township, Lower Windsor Township, and Hallam Borough residents. EYRA's purpose is to operate, strengthen, and expand the community recreation programs formerly provided by Hellam Recreation Commission.
