Eastern York Recreation Authority (EYRA) will sponsor a free program titled "Vermicomposting: Worms With an Appetite" on Tuesday, Aug. 13, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Hellam Township Municipal Building, 44 Walnut Springs Road, York. The program is open to people age 6 and up. Attendees will learn about the role of worms in recycling leftover food waste, and they will investigate the concepts of waste reduction and recycling.
