Lower Dauphin Falcon Foundation will hold its 14th annual Charity Golf Outing at Manada Golf Club, 609 Golf Lane, Grantville, on Friday, May 6. Registration and lunch will take place at 11:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. A dinner catered by 1762, formerly The Wick, will be available after the tournament. Numerous skill contests and prizes will be available to players, including a hole-in-one cash prize.
Proceeds from this event will support grants to fund programs in the Lower Dauphin School District. The programs will directly benefit Lower Dauphin students.
Golfers of all skill levels are invited to register, and organizers can place individuals in a group of four if needed. Once again, this year's Title Sponsor is Rohrer Bus Service. The Lower Dauphin Falcon Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, was established in 2006 to foster greater community support in the education and development of the students in the Lower Dauphin School District. Its purpose as an independent public charitable organization is to encourage community-wide participation and philanthropy to enhance and expand enrichment opportunities for all students in the school district. The foundation aims to ensure long-range financial flexibility for schools within the district. The focus of the Falcon Foundation is to develop pathways by which stakeholders in the district's community can make available resources to existing and future academic as well as extracurricular programs to meet identified needs and interests of students.
