The Lancaster County Flute Ensemble will perform on Sunday, May 19, at 4 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 517 N. Queen St., Lancaster. "An American Flute Salute" will be the theme.
Pieces for large ensembles and for smaller chamber groups will be performed. The concert will feature 20th-century American music, traditional early American songs, Native American-inspired selections, "The Appalachian Suite" by Kelly Via, a newly composed American-themed piece by Ricky Lombardo, and "The Lancaster County Suite" for flute choir by Ray-Michael Kauffman.
