Singer, guitarist, and ukulele player Del Rey will perform at the Fort Hunter Centennial Barn, 5300 N. Front St., Harrisburg, on Saturday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. The concert is sponsored by Susquehanna Folk Music Society (SFMS).
Rey started playing guitar when she was 4 years old, and as a teenager, she became immersed in the world of folk music. American blues, jazz, and ragtime, blues, and tunes of the early 20th century are her specialty, even as she writes new music.
Rey has taught and played all over the world and brings her distinctive finger-style approach to guitar and ukulele to her teaching videos. She collaborates and tours frequently with Steve James, Suzy Thompson, and Adam Franklin.
