"Forward Together Lebanon" Formed

To navigate through COVID-19 pandemic challenges, a group of community leaders in a variety of business sectors came together and formed the Lebanon County Recovery Task Force.

Group members include Susan Eberly, Lebanon Valley Economic Development Corporation; Karen Groh, Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce; Robert Dowd, Lebanon County Department of Emergency Services; Brooke Smith, Lebanon County United Way; Jennifer Easter, WellSpan Health; Julia Vincente, ELCO School District superintendent; Geoffrey M. Roche, Harrisburg University of Science and Technology; and Barbara Kauffman, Kauffman Creative Services Inc.

The task force, which met throughout the red phase, determined that businesses and the community at large needed a way to have questions answered and guidelines for when the county was able to resume life and business after weeks of quarantine. The task force has branded its efforts "Forward Together Lebanon."

The centerpiece for the community will feature a website, http://www.forwardtogetherlebanon.com. The website is designed to be a one-stop-shop for resources during the reopening of Lebanon County. The leadership conducted a Zoom meeting with local businesses and residents to review the website and finalize plans.

According to team leaders, the website is easy to navigate and will be constantly updated as guidelines and information change. Sections for both businesses and the community will be populated with topics that include public mitigation, community resources, business resources, finances, job training, employment, education, and other needs in the community at large. A contact area is included for questions should a business or resident have any further needs.
