The Conestoga Valley Education Foundation (CVEF) will host its 21st annual golf tournament, this year sponsored by Marotta/Main Architects, on Friday, Sept. 6, at Meadia Heights Golf Club, 402 Golf Road, Lancaster.
The tournament benefits CVEF, which is a registered nonprofit organization committed to enhancing Conestoga Valley schools by funding innovative programs and classroom strategies. Since its inception, CVEF has provided more than $1 million in grants to teachers, administrators and students. Grant awards are announced in the fall and spring.
Registration will begin at 11 a.m., with the golf tournament kicking off at noon. There is a per-person fee to enter the tournament, with an early bird discount for those who enter the tournament by Thursday, Aug. 15. The fee includes a hot barbecue lunch by Smokehouse BBQ and Brews, as well as a gift, golf, beverages and dinner. The event will feature giveaway drawing items, a live auction and awards.
New this year, CVEF is offering a special package for golfers who bring a friend for dinner. The foundation is also holding a class competition, where groups of four with two or more golfers from the same Conestoga Valley graduating class can win one of the tournament prizes.
