The Quarryville Police Foundation recently received a $5,500 donation from American Legion Post 603 toward the purchase of much-needed equipment for the Quarryville Borough Police Department. The donation will help cover the cost of upgrading obsolete law-enforcement equipment in need of repair or replacement.
With the support of Post 603 and the contributions of local residents and businesses, the foundation has made progress toward its goal of enhancing public safety through support of local police.
The Quarryville Police Foundation was established in January as an independent, nonprofit organization devoted to raising funds for officer training, equipment, and technology upgrades not covered by taxpayer dollars.
