Free Easter Meals Provided

On Easter Sunday, April 12, the Brick House Cafe in Manheim provided free meals to the public. Organizers initially prepared for 125 recipients, but they ultimately provided 250 meals, with no food left over. So many people expressed interest that some of them were directed to come back later in the day for a second round of distributions.

Attendees received ham with raisin sauce, homemade mashed potatoes, pineapple casserole, green beans, rolls, and homemade cookies. In addition to the meals, an organizer was able to give an Easter ham to a woman and her daughter after all the meals had been distributed.

The event came about when money was donated approximately two weeks beforehand to allow community members to come together to love and support one another through the recent challenging time. The event was also supported through donations of hams.
