The Lancaster County Planning Commission and the Lancaster Bar Association will co-host Regional Comprehensive Planning and Implementation Tools on Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Lancaster Bar Association, 28 E. Orange St., Lancaster. The event will open with a reception at 4 p.m., followed by the presentation and discussion at 4:30 p.m.
The live seminar will focus on best practices in regional comprehensive planning and implementation. Panelists will discuss approaches to regional comprehensive planning, the legal framework for multi-municipal cooperation, organizational structures for collaboration, and implementation tools. Tools provided for in the MPC will include intergovernmental cooperative planning and implementation agreements, official maps, and specific plans. The seminar will also explore the potential for regional solutions to water quality management, looking at current approaches, and the evolving regulatory landscape.
