Freedom Life Church, 447 Noble Road, Christiana, is launching Freedom Academy, a preschool and homeschool co-op, this August. Families are invited to visit the space and learn more about the program on Thursday, July 28, beginning at 7 p.m.
Freedom Academy, which will be led by director Cynthia Kreider, will provide three-day and two-day preschool programs, as well as project-based electives and core classes for children in kindergarten through grade 12.
A complete list of classes and costs is available at https://freedom.life/academy. However, classes are not guaranteed. There is a minimum enrollment of eight students per class to cover the expenses.
The homeschool co-op classes will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Parents will select classes for their children a la carte style, with a minimum of one class and a maximum of six classes. Families can choose for children to attend one day a week or two days a week.
Freedom Academy, which will operate from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will include chapel, lunch and recess times each day. Parents are not required to stay with their children, but they are expected to volunteer in a variety of capacities throughout the semester.
New family applications and teacher resumes are currently being accepted. For more information, email freedomacademy@freedom.life or call 610-593-5959.
