GEARS Sets Programs

Aqua Yoga, a low-impact aquatic exercise class for people age 14 and up, will be offered on Tuesdays, April 30 to June 4, from 6 to 6:45 p.m. or from 7 to 7:45 p.m. at the Masonic Village Flohr Pool, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown. The class adapts the principles and movements of yoga to the water environment.

A field hockey camp will be run by Elizabethtown coaches and players on Monday through Thursday, June 3 to 6, at Jane Hoover Field at Elizabethtown Area High School (EAHS), 600 E. High St. Children in grades two through five will meet from 5 to 6 p.m. and will be introduced to the game while learning basic skills. Youths in sixth through eighth grades will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. and will be taught more advanced skills and game concepts. Participants will need a field hockey stick, shinguards, and a mouth guard; a field hockey stick can be provided for those who do not have one. A T-shirt will be included in the fee.

CSI E-town, a forensics camp for youths ages 9 to 14, will be held on Monday through Thursday, June 10 to 13, from 10 a.m. to noon in Room 2605 at EAHS. Chemistry teacher Scott Baylor will lead participants in using real forensic techniques to solve mysteries. Attendees will investigate fingerprints, unknown ink samples, mystery liquids, and more.
