A boys' middle school volleyball program for grades five through eight will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 3 to April 23, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the gym at Bear Creek School, 1459 Sheaffer Road, Elizabethtown. Through the sessions of volleyball skills and drills, players will learn passing, setting, hitting, offensive techniques and terminology. The goal of this program is to develop each player's skills and enthusiasm for the game.
GEARS will offer a lacrosse club for girls in grades five through eight. This program will teach the basics of lacrosse through practices and games. The season will start on Monday, March 9, and continue through Saturday, May 9, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with practices and games on Saturdays. The club will meet on Field 1 at Elizabethtown Area High School, 600 E. High St., Elizabethtown.
The Splash Bash will be held at Patton Pool at the Masonic Village, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, on Friday, Feb. 21, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. It is open to people all ages. Attendees should bring a swimsuit and a towel. Advance registration is not required, and payment will be received at the door.
