Grave Concern will hold a quarterly public meeting and program on Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Lancaster County Mennonite Information Center, located next to the historical society at 2209 Millstream Road (Route 30 East), Lancaster.
"Using DNA to Trace Family History" will be presented by Darvin L. Martin, who has been studying DNA in regard to family history since 2008. Martin will explain how DNA can help expand one's family history beyond the standard paper trail of census lists, deeds, wills, tax records, and cemetery records. DNA analysis, used in combination with all the other research tools available for family history, can provide the means to verify and enhance the story of one's ancestors.
Admission will be free and open to the public. Seating is limited. Face masks and social distancing are encouraged.
