Exploring, Growing Together, a book discussion group at Lititz United Methodist Church (UMC), 201 E. Market St., Lititz, will continue its 2019-20 forum learning series, which aims to offer a safe learning environment in which to discuss and explore topics and beliefs. The group meets on Thursdays on the lower level of the church from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On Nov. 7, 14, and 21, the group will view the DVD "Loving," directed by Jeff Nichols. It will be followed by discussion with Linda Van Til, certified lay minister.
The DVD focuses on Mildred Jeter, a black woman, and Richard Loving, a white man, who are married in 1958 in Virginia, where interracial marriage is illegal. When they are arrested and exiled to Washington, D.C., they fight the law all the way to the Supreme Court.
