Fusion Gymnastics of Lititz had its entire USAIGC Artistic Gymnastics team qualify for the state competition for the 2018-19 season under head coach Bethany Strock. The Pennsylvania state competition for all levels of USAIGC gymnastics took place on May 11 and 12.
On May 11, every Copper 1 and Copper 2 level team member qualified for Worlds, which will take place Monday, July 1, through Sunday, July 7, in Nashville. The gymnasts include Wilhelmina Braunwarth, Angie Calabrese, Ny'Asia Herndon, Lily Insyxiengmay, Miranda Lake, Cheyenne Oakley, Madison Shoemaker, Madalynn Thompson, Myla Wachinski, and Meredith Weiss.
Braunwarth placed first for Copper 1 level in the 6-and-under age group and took second in both balance beam and floor. She placed fourth in the state for her age group for all-around. Insyxiengmay took first in vault and second in uneven bars for Copper 1 level in the 12 age group. Lake's performance in vault, uneven bars, and floor earned her second for Copper 2 in the 13-to-14 age group. With her third-place finish on bars, she clinched second place for the all-around. Wachinski's floor routine took second for Copper 1 in the 7 age group.
Bronze-level gymnast Anna Burkholder also competed on May 11 and took home bronze on the uneven bars in the over-14 age group for Bronze level and qualified for Regionals in Wildwood, N.J., held from May 24 to 26.
On May 12, Silver and Gold level gymnasts competed. Matilyn Obeck, Presley Stormfeltz, Olivia Urban, Lauren Obeck, Tia Logan, and Jessica Wolf qualified for Worlds in July. Urban took home gold in the uneven bars for level Silver age 13 and placed fourth in the state for the all-around. Wolf was state champion for the level Silver in the 14 age group with performances on vault and floor that earned her first place. She also took silver on beam. Also competing on May 12 were Olivia Hess and Zakiesha White.
