Alyson Hand of Birdsboro was among the more than 600 first-year students at Baldwin Wallace University (BWU), Berea, Ohio, this fall who earned a total of over $12 million in merit scholarships. Hand earned a $19,000 Trustees' Scholarship based on outstanding academic achievements in high school. BWU's merit scholarships are awarded to full-time students and are renewable up to four years with good academic and social standing.
Hand is a graduate of Daniel Boone Area High School. She is majoring in arts management and entrepreneurship.
