HCPAC Slates Master Class

Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center (HCPAC), 1000 S. Eisenhower Blvd., Middletown, will offer an acting intensive master class for students in grades six through 12. The class will begin on Monday, Feb. 21, and continue two or three days per week from February through May. Performances of a one-hour adaptation of Shakespeare's "Macbeth" will take place on Friday, May 20, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, May 21, at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, May 22, at 4 p.m.

The class is meant to challenge and inspire middle school and high school students interested in theatrics and to prepare them for the stage of life. Led by theater professional and Hofstra University alumna Alexandra Johnson, students will become immersed in fundamental theatrical studies, such as scene study, script analysis, stage combat and iambic pentameter. Auditions for the performance will be held after a short introductory period of classes. Both production and performance roles will be determined by the instructor. All students signed up for the master class will be fully involved in the experience.

Space is limited to 30 students. To register, visit https://thehcpac.org/workshops-classes/. To view the master schedule, visit https://thehcpac.org/macbeth-callboard/.
