Hempfield Student-Athletes Recognized

The Hempfield athletic department hosted the National Day of Signing recognition ceremony on Feb. 2 at Hempfield High School. Athletic director Steven Polonus formally recognized 25 senior student-athletes who have committed to colleges and universities to study and play a sport their freshman year. Senior student-athletes were supported by their teammates, families, friends, and coaches in the audience.

The students and their intended sports and postsecondary schools include Brynn Axe, lacrosse, Kutztown University; Avalynn Baer, basketball, Widener University; Keira Boensch, field hockey, Franklin & Marshall College; Kelsea Dague, lacrosse, Eastern Michigan University; Camille De La Torre, volleyball, Stockton University; Austin Dunlap, baseball, Lock Haven University; Grace Forry, lacrosse, Grove City College; Clay Gainer, wrestling, Messiah University; David Gross, lacrosse, Messiah University; Max Grube, lacrosse, Penn State University; Courtney Guthrie, softball, Randolph-Macon College; Cam Harbaugh, football, Valparaiso University; Gianna Hoover, field hockey, Vassar College; and Mauren Krauser, field hockey, Salisbury University.
