Seasonal Celebration Set

Dec 07, 2019 - 2:00 pm

The Downtown Hershey Association will host downtown Hershey's holiday celebration in ChocolateTown Square from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7. The event will offer fun for all ages and will feature a wide array of activities and entertainment for the community.

Milton Hershey School's New Horizons choral group will perform, and cookies and cocoa will be on hand starting at 2 p.m. to warm bystanders up while they sing along to classic holiday tunes. Children can stop by to make their own ornaments, pose with Hershey's product characters, and even send letters to Santa.

Items will be collected for Cocoa Packs Presents. Attendees are asked to consider bringing a new, unwrapped present. All toys collected will go to local families in need.

Santa will arrive via a Hershey Volunteer Fire Company truck shortly after 3 p.m. The tree will also be lit by a Children's Miracle Network child and family. The tree-lighting ceremony will start at 5:30 p.m.

The event is open to the public at no charge. For more details, including how to volunteer during the event, readers may visit http://www.downtownhershey.com.
