High School Honors Students

Lampeter-Strasburg High School (LSHS) has honored its Pioneer Superlatives and Students of the Month for February. The Pioneer Superlatives are senior Sophia Grillo and junior Kyle Velez, and the Students of the Month are sophomores Brady Cole and Melissa Perez.

Sophia is a senior and the daughter of Joseph and Dawn Grillo of Strasburg. At LSHS, she is a member of the Heroes Program, National Honor Society, Student Council, and Pioneer Interact Club. Sophia is a consistent honor roll student and tutor. She plans to attend the University of Delaware to study mechanical engineering and Mandarin Chinese.

Kyle is the son of Noel Velez and Michelle Velez of Lancaster. At school, Kyle is active in the STEM Club, Model UN, High School Heroes, and the Ski and Snowboard Club. He is a member of the honor roll and is a prior Student of the Month. He plans to pursue a career as an astrophysicist and/or an astrophysics professor.

Brady is the son of Michael Cole and Rose Cole of Lancaster. He is a member of the LSHS football and basketball teams and the honor roll. Brady plans to join the military or study sports management at a four-year college after graduation.

Melissa is a sophomore and the daughter of Racquel Perez of Lancaster. She plans to attend college to study veterinary science.
