The York Hiking Club (YHC) will offer a variety of hikes to the community. Additional details, including YHC's guidelines regarding COVID-19, are available by visiting http://www.yorkhikingclub.com. Hikers should bring a lunch, water, and appropriate hiking footwear. Due to COVID-19, carpooling will not be provided by YHC.
A 12-mile hike will begin at Quarry Road in Gap at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13, from the Caledonia State Park Visitor Center parking lot. For more details, readers may call Gwen Loose at 717-891-9967 prior to 9 p.m.
A 5- to 6-mile hike will be held on Sunday, Sept. 20, at the Lake Williams parking area and boat launch on Water Street in Jacobus. A 6-mile loop hike will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, from the parking lot at the northern end of the Enola Low Grade Rail Trail up to the top of Turkey Hill on the Turkey Hill Trail.
