History Center Slates Programs

The York County History Center will offer two upcoming programs. The events are free and open to the public and will take place at the center, 250 E. Market St., York. For additional details, readers may visit http://www.yorkhistorycenter.org.

The York County Civil War Round Table will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m. Scott E. Rosenau will present "Lincoln's Road to Emancipation." For more information, readers may visit http://www.yorkblog.com/cannonball/york-cwrt.

ALLVETS will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. The program will feature Bill Kohler, who served in the Army in Iraq in 2005 and 2006. He was awarded the Purple Heart and various other medals.

ALLVETS is an organization that records veterans' stories. Each month, a different York Countian shares his or her military experience, and the oral histories are preserved in the History Center's library and archives.
