Homeschool Group Sets Challenge Event

Jul 09, 2020 - 6:30 pm

Classical Conversations of Elizabethtown will host an outdoor Window Into Challenge event on Thursday, July 9, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 398 N. Locust St., Elizabethtown, in the memorial garden.

Attendees will learn about its Challenge programs for students age 12 through high school. The Challenge programs provide instruction and conversation for a full spectrum of academics, including government, literature, sciences, philosophy and theology, logic, and language, and they provide students with opportunities to develop skills of oral and written communication, research, memorization, debate, and critical thinking. Programs also offer leadership by mentors and aim to foster positive peer relationships.

Classical Conversations is a worldwide classical, Christian homeschool organization that seeks to equip parents and students to use the classical tools of learning to hone students' academic skills of recitation, logical thinking, and persuasive rhetoric.
