Hospice Marks 40 Years

This year, Hospice & Community Care marks its 40th anniversary. While many of its anniversary plans have been postponed or canceled, it aims to provide personalized care and comfort to help patients with serious illness and their families live better through the end of life.

The organization continues caring for approximately 600 patients and their families daily, in addition to providing support for hundreds of bereaved family members, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hospice & Community Care has a staff of more than 400 nurses, aides, licensed practical nurses, social workers, physicians, chaplains, nurse practitioners, bereavement counselors, and administrative team members in inpatient care, clinical support and health information, quality, volunteer services, business development, information technology, development and marketing communications, finance, and medical services.
