The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area (HSHA) will offer a variety of camping experiences this summer for children. Each summer camp will run from Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
At HSHA Summer Camp, children will experience fun and age-appropriate activities that teach about a range of humane education ideas and concepts. Each camp is designated to help children cultivate a lifelong bond with animals and to develop character traits like compassion and empathy.
All About Animals will run from Monday, June 13, to Friday, June 17, and again from Monday, Aug. 1, to Friday, Aug. 5. The camp is open to children entering first and second grades in the fall.
Pet Partners: Dogs! will be offered from Monday, June 20, through Friday, June 24. Camp is designed for children entering third and fourth grades.
Animal Careers will take place from Monday, June 27, to Friday, July 1. The camp is open to children entering fifth and sixth grades.
Animal Artists will run from Monday, July 11, to Friday, July 15. This camp is open to children entering first and second grades.
Rescue Me will be offered to students entering third and fourth grades on Monday, July 18, through Friday, July 22. The camp will be held again for students entering fifth and sixth grades on Monday, Aug. 15, to Friday, Aug. 19.
Vet Camp will run from Monday, July 25, to Friday, July 29. The camp is designed for students in grades five and six.
Pet Partners: Cats! will be held on Monday, Aug. 8, to Friday, Aug. 12. This camp is designed for students entering third and fourth grades.
