The marriage of Melanie Kramer and Kenneth N. Jackson took place on Sept. 7 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Columbia. The Rev. Anthony Swamy officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Ellen Kramer of Myerstown. She graduated from a homeschooling program in 2008. She received her bachelor's degree in 2012 and her master's degree in 2015, both from Alvernia University. She is employed by The Hershey Company in Hershey.
The groom is the son of Kenneth E. Jackson of Severn, Md., and Roy and Barbara Leiphart of Red Lion. He graduated from Red Lion Area Senior High School in 2011 and Drexel University in 2017. He is employed by Johnson Controls in New Freedom.
The bride wore a white sheath dress with a halter tie that drapes down the back. The dress has pleats along the waist line that come together at the embroidery on the left side, as well as a sweep train and a front slit. The bride carried a bouquet of white and purple roses and purple tiger lilies. She was given in marriage by her father.
The matron of honor was Denise Pouss, sister of the bride. The best man was Chad Summy.
Providing music for the ceremony was Anna Alexander.
The reception took place at Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church in York.
After a wedding trip to Niagara Falls and the Poconos, the couple resides in Columbia.
