The jazz group Temple Avenue will present a concert on Sunday, April 7, at 3:30 p.m. at the Eicher Arts Center, 409 Cocalico St., Ephrata, in Ephrata Borough's Grater Park.
Temple Avenue performs musical standards such as "Honeysuckle Rose" and "You've Got a Friend" as well as lesser-known tunes. The group features Calli Graver, vocals; Tom Strohman, woodwinds; Marcell Bellinger, trumpet; Colin Mekeel, piano; Mike Evangelista, bass; and Steve Tolnay, drums.
Temple Avenue got its start in 2012 when some teenage musicians from Lancaster connected with like-minded students at Temple University. The jazz group they created has performed throughout Lancaster County and beyond at festivals, night clubs, church events and weddings.
Refreshments will be provided. Admission is free, though donations will be accepted.
