The Jingle Bell Ring, sponsored by the Central PA Handbell Festival, will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14. Handbell musicians will ring holiday favorites for the general public during the visit with Santa event hosted by Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square and Lancaster County Convention Center, 25 S. Queen St., Lancaster. Bell ringing will occur from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. and then again from 1 to 1:30 p.m.
Community members are invited to perform at the event. Ringers are asked to be present from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and each handbell musician will ring two natural bells in a three-octave range. Ringers must supply their own bells and floor music stand. There is a registration fee.
There is no admission charged to hear the bells play, but nonperishable food items and monetary donations will be received at the event and donated to Autumn's Food Pantry at the Emerald Foundation.
