The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area (HSHA), 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, will host a Kitten Supply Shower throughout March. The highest volume of kittens arrives in the spring, and the supply drive will help HSHA get ready for their arrival.
In addition, new foster parents are needed. The items received during the supply drive will be used in the kitten foster care kits given to foster parents.
Items needed at the shelter include kitten milk replacement powder, a kitten scale, Miracle Nipples, heating discs, thermometers, and SmartPetLove Snuggle Kitty Heartbeat Stuffed Toy, a pet anxiety relief and calming aid. In addition, kitten toys and food are needed, including any type of cat toy, cat play tunnels and wand toys, canned kitten food (pate), and 3- to 5-pound bags of dry food for kittens, preferably Purina Kitten Chow.
Donations can be shipped directly to the shelter from Amazon, Chewy, and others or dropped off at the Adoption Center during regular hours. Donors should indicate "Kitten Shower" on their donation. To learn more, visit http://www.humanesocietyhbg.org or call 717-564-3320.
