Kreutz Creek Library Posts Programs

Kreutz Creek Library, 66 Walnut Springs Road, York, will offer a variety of activities to the community. Most programs are virtual and require registration. For details and registration, call 717-252-4080 or visit http://www.yorklibraries.org.

The library continues with lobby pickup only for items that patrons borrow. Lobby pickup hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays and from 2 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays through Thursdays.

The Friends and staff of KCL are decorating a book-themed evergreen to be on display at Flinchbaugh's Orchard & Farm Market, 110 Ducktown Road, Hellam, as part of its holiday Giving Trees event. Community members may vote for their favorite tree or organization by purchasing tickets in the Farm Market and then dropping them in the box by the selected tree. The Giving Trees event will take place from Monday, Nov. 29, to Friday, Dec. 31.

The Friends of KCL will also partner with the McPherson Tree Farm, 5931 Mount Pisgah Road, York, to hold a fundraiser. A portion of sales from Douglas fir holiday trees purchased using a special coupon will be donated to the library. Coupons may be picked up at the library. Information will also be available on the library's Facebook and Instagram pages.

A virtual Sensory Story Time for children ages 2 to 5 will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursdays, Dec. 2 to 16. Space is limited.

Monthly Grab & Go Craft Activities will be available for children ages 3 to 8. Patrons may stop by the library on or after Wednesday, Dec. 1, to pick up supplies for a holiday craft.

Carla Christopher, an author, a public speaker, and a workshop facilitator/trainer, will share her knowledge in creative writing and storytelling during Zoom workshops on Tuesday, Dec. 7. A workshop from 6 to 7 p.m. will be geared to children in grades one through five, and a workshop from 7 to 8 p.m. will be geared to youths in grades six through 12.

The Danger Club will meet virtually for magic and mayhem on Tuesday, Dec. 14, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Library Squad is canceled for December and will return in January 2022.

Kreutz Creek Library's TechTime by Phone will be available from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 16. To receive technology assistance, call 717-846-5300, ask for the tech specialist, and receive help learning about a new device, fixing problems, protecting a device, downloading books, and more.

Mystery at the Library, a virtual author event, will take place at 7 p.m. on Dec. 1. The November and December featured book is "The Vanished Days" by Susanna Kearsley.
