Lancaster County Parks Programs Set

The Lancaster County Parks Department will offer various programs. There is a per-person fee. Registration and payment are due by noon on the business day before the event. To register, call 717-295-2055 or visit http://www.lancastercountyparks.org and click on the Online Program Registration tab. Unless otherwise indicated, programs will take place at the Environmental Center in Lancaster County Central Park, 1 Nature's Way, Lancaster.

GPS Tic-tac-toe is for people of all ages and will take place on Saturday, Sept. 25, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Speedwell Forge County Park. Attendees will learn to use the handheld GPS units before heading out to the trails. Participants are asked to meet at the trailhead at 480 Speedwell Forge Road in Lititz and to dress for the weather.

Munchkin Science: Butterflies is for children ages 3 to 5 and will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 28, from 1 to 2 p.m. It will feature a hands-on lesson about the butterfly life cycle and species of local butterflies, as well as an opportunity to catch butterflies with a net and gain close-up look at them.

Fallin' Into a New Season With Trivia! is for people age 18 and older. It will be held on Sept. 28 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Participants are welcome to brings snacks to enjoy during two rounds of fall-fact trivia.
